Who is Appalachian Mountain Rescue?
"Prorsum et sursum"
The Appalachian Mountain Rescue Team (AMRT) serves as a regional mountain rescue resource for the southern Appalachian highlands, defined as a region within a 125 mile radius from Asheville, NC. We are dedicated to saving lives and battling injury in mountainous terrain. We accomplish this by reducing mountain incidents via education and advocacy of best practices in climbing safety and rescue operations as well as providing field response for actual incidents. Our specialty is climber-based rescue activities carried out in technical climbing terrain.Stay Updated
